Summary:  

The School District of Borough of Morrisville is currently accepting applications for a Substitute Van Driver (on-call). The successful candidate will be assigned to existing routes when a van driver is not available. The job of a van driver was established for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes to and from school and/or field trips in a safe and timely manner; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from vans.    

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
• Previous driving experience as a school van driver preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, school administrators and staff.

Clearances and other requirements:

• PA State Police Clearance (Act 33)
• Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)

Background employment clearances and the following additional paperwok must be completed within the last year to be valid: Arrest/Conviction Report (Act 24), PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), and School Health Record which includes physical (within a year) and TB test (within 3 months).
